Course Title: Ethical and Boundary Issues for Mental Health Professionals

Clinical interventions spring from a focus on the best interests of our clients.   Case examples are used to facilitate the exploration of common ethical issues and potential boundary crossings faced by clinicians in a variety of health, mental health and social service practice arenas.

This course meets Florida's requirement for an ethics and boundary course for all mental health professionals and is designed for professionals of all levels of experience. 

Participants will:

Differentiate between law and ethics, morals, values, personal ethics and/ or professional ethics
Discuss ethical dilemmas, traps and pitfalls faced in their professional practice arenas
Learn how one's best practice will alleviate negative impacts on clients and one's own career and clinical practice
